Matt (my husband) and I were ecstatic for many reasons. First, the pressure of the ceremony was over. Second, we could now spend some time with family and friends. And third, we could finally relax, dance our arses off, and eat cake!
LOOKING AT THIS PHOTO SEVEN YEARS LATER, WE CAN’T HELP BUT TO SMILE. THE LOVE WE HAD FOR EACH OTHER IN THIS MOMENT HAS ONLY GROWN AND MATURED. WE WERE IN OUR TWENTIES THEN, STILL FIGURING OUT CAREERS, LIVING ARRANGEMENTS, AND FAMILY PLANS. WE WERE YOUNG AND ENJOYING LIFE. AND WE STILL ARE.
Will this image be our favorite five, ten, twenty years from now? Who can tell? What I do know is that it will always remind us that there’s a carefree part of life that must always be cherished.
