LIFE AND LOVE ON DISPLAY

—COLLECTION ONE of THREE—

The humbling, and ultimately freeing truth behind our work, is that none of these images are really our doing.

Relentlessly witnessing what happens in front of us, not manipulated by our styling-ideas-prompts-suggestions, is really the only constant in our work. The haphazard beauty and endless variety is graciously provided solely by the stories we’re invited into. Each wedding day filled with individually unique humans expressing life and love in an infinite number of ways. This basic framework of a wedding, despite all the planning-money-design-stress-effort, finally boils down to a day standing as a container that holds a collection of the two saying I do, surrounded by their favorite humans for a few precious and fleeting hours. It’s that container we are so graciously invited into. Us two strangers, brought into an intimate space with no agendas, no ulterior self-serving motives, with a few cameras ready to translate what our open eyes and hearts happen to witness.

As always: Less us, more you.

Honored and humbled,

Nate & Jaclyn
